Why Albums RED and ERROR 404 Are Temporarily Going Offline: A Call for Fairness“

Dear Music Lovers,

There are important updates regarding the albums „RED“ and „ERROR 404“ that many of you might be interested in. Regrettably, both albums need to be taken offline until January, and the reason is as unusual as it is frustrating: hacker attacks using stream-bots.

Over the past few weeks, these two albums have been targeted by bots, leading to artificially inflated streaming numbers. These unfair practices have now forced us into an unexpected action: both albums will be temporarily removed and re-released in a „Remastered“ version.

I want to make it clear that music is more than just a pastime for me – it’s a passion that I share with each and every one of you. However, I do not make a living from my music; it’s a hobby that’s very close to my heart. These incidents mean not just extra work for me, but they also alienate the honest connection I strive to build with you through my music.

To the person or people behind these bots: please stop. These actions help no one. They undermine the authenticity of my work and unnecessarily burden the platforms where my music is available.

The Remastered versions of „RED“ and „ERROR 404“ will be carefully revised to offer an even better listening experience. I hope you see this unforeseen twist as an opportunity to experience the albums in a new light.

Thank you for your understanding and ongoing support. Music connects us, and I look forward to sharing this connection with you in the future.

Musical Regards,

Christian Duncker
